How can I tell which version my Model Y is?
Typically, Standard Range models are made in China. Long Range and Performance models are usually produced in Germany.
The Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) is the safest way to find out where your Model Y was built. You can find the VIN in the lower area of the windshield on the passenger side or in the vehicle registration document. The first three letters provide information:
- LRW = Made in China (MIC)
- XP7 = Made in Germany (MIG)
Example: LRWYGCEK7NC000000 = Made in China
